The partnership between pielleitalia and Solar Impulse started in 2007 and it has carried on with the years.  

2015 marked the first attempt at a round-the-world Solar Flight, from Abu Dhabi to Hawaii: it was the longest solar flight ever achieved in aviation history.

We are very proud to have played a part in this epic journey as “Official Team Clothing Supplier", creating and managing the official team and partner collection.

The Pilot Jackets

The Official Pilot Jacket worn by Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg was developed and designed by us, specifically for the round-the-world mission. Needless to say, the jacket comprises innovative tailoring, exquisite quality, and a high measure of comfort.

The Round the World Blue Lightweight Pilot Jacket is a lighter version of the Official Pilot Jacket, ideal for warmer climates and seasons.
